How to Groom for a Photoshoot

Easy Guide for Everyone

Looking your best helps you feel confident in your photos! Follow this simple grooming guide 2–3 days before your session. It’s great for men, women, and anyone in between.

✨ General Grooming Tips for Everyone

  • Sleep well the night before. You’ll feel more energized and relaxed.
  • Stay hydrated. Water = healthy, glowing skin!
  • Avoid trying new beauty products or treatments right before your shoot.
  • Bring extra outfits if you’re unsure what looks best—or ask me!
  • Wear clean, ironed clothing. Neutral undergarments are helpful for outfit changes.
  • Keep hands neat. Trim nails, remove chipped polish, and moisturize.

Brows & facial hair: Shape or groom 1–2 days ahead.

👨‍👩‍👧 For Families

Clothing: Pick 2–3 coordinating colors for everyone. Avoid bright neons or busy patterns.

Textures & Layers: Mix simple textures (like knits or linen) and layers (like vests or cardigans) to add visual interest.

Shoes: Keep footwear clean and comfortable. Avoid flashy logos or bright sneakers.

Prepare the Kids: Let them know the session will be fun! A favorite toy or treat can help.

Keep it relaxed: Candid, playful moments often create the most heartwarming images.
