Why I Shifted Into Family Photography

Hi, I’m Ivy from Ivy Wulf Portrait photographer.

This year, something beautiful changed my life—my first grandson was born in June. Watching my daughter become a mother opened a new place in my heart. I still cannot find the perfect words to describe what it feels like to become a grandmother. It is soft, emotional, and bigger than anything I ever imagined.

For many years, I focused on high-end portrait work. I loved it. But after holding that tiny baby in my arms, everything inside me changed. I started to see family, unity, and love in a different way. I realized how fast time moves, how quickly children grow, and how important it is to capture these moments before they pass.

What changed me the most was seeing my daughter share every little milestone—his first smile, tiny hands, sleepy faces. These small moments are so big to a parent. And to a grandmother, they feel like treasure.

This is why I chose to move fully into family, baby, and maternity photography.

I want to photograph more than just a picture. I want to document love… forgiveness… acceptance… togetherness… all the things that make a family real and beautiful. I want to create something that stays forever, even when time keeps moving.

Children don’t stay little forever. But your photos will.

They freeze a moment so you can revisit it again and again—like a door back to memory lane.

My sessions are gentle, kid-friendly, and flexible. I travel to your location, your home, or your favorite park. I also work comfortably with families who have little ones, babies, or family members with disabilities. Everyone deserves beautiful portraits.
